About Sauna Shortlist

An independent comparison site for people shopping for a home sauna or cold plunge.

Sauna Shortlist is a small, independent site based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We started it because shopping for a sauna means comparing a dozen brands whose product pages all use different terms, and the numbers that actually decide the purchase (voltage, amperage, footprint, warranty) are often buried. We put those numbers in one table and link each one back to the brand page it came from.

How we research (and the role of AI)

Plainly: this site uses AI-assisted research. AI tools help us collect product pages, pull prices and spec tables, and draft comparisons. A person reviews every page before it goes live, and every price and spec is checked against the brand’s own website and dated. Even so, mistakes can happen and brands change prices and specs often, sometimes daily during sales. Always confirm on the brand’s site before buying. If you spot an error, tell us and we’ll fix it.

We have not hands-on tested the products we compare unless an article explicitly says so. We don’t write “we tested” when we didn’t.
No health claims. We compare equipment, not health outcomes. Nothing here is medical advice. Ask your doctor whether sauna or cold-water use is right for you.
Sale prices move. We note the date we checked each price and when a price was a sale price.

Affiliate disclosure

We earn money from some links on this site. Sauna Shortlist participates in affiliate programs run by brands and affiliate networks (such as Impact and Awin). When you click a link marked “paid link” and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the seller. You don’t pay anything extra.

Brands in our comparisons that we have, or may have, an affiliate relationship with include Sun Home Saunas, Plunge, Ice Barrel and Titan Fitness. Commissions are one reason a product may have a link and another may not, but they don’t decide which product we rank higher or what we say about it. We also include products and facts that may not earn us anything.

We place a short version of this disclosure near the top of every article, and label individual affiliate links “paid link,” in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides.
